Howlings looked like a beast. One thing at a time and the running game was one of the problems on the top of my list that we needed improvement on. Seems like the new scheme and RB was a great change and choice so far. I didng get to see the game cause of my area but reezone offense is the next thing we should be improving on. Did we get in the redzone at all? How did it fare?

Other points.

- Disappointed no Bell. Been waiting to get a look at him forever. But, better safe than sorry. He will be in there next week.

- Adams looked OK, DeCastro and Pouncy looked great. Gilbert looked like crap. Switch him out with Beachum before he gets someone hurt.

- Ben is thinner now, but will add weight once the season starts. Why do I mention this? Just because I am predicting it.

- We are more than OK at WR. So glad Wallace is gone. These fellas will get the job done. Woods and Brown are looking solid as hell, and Wheaton is going to be very good.

- O line did some good rush blocking. Pass, well, need to work on it.

- I am telling you, Woods deserves playing time. Our DL actually looks deep.

- One guy with 3 names looks great. The other looks horrible.

- Landry Jones has a nice release. He throws a pretty good ball. He has a shot at becoming decent. I also think BG can be a solid #2. A way better QB back up situation than last year. WTF were they thinking last year, going with Batch and Leftwich? Seriously. Did they get drunk before they made the QB decisions?

- Jarvis Jones showed he just makes plays. He looked a little shaky at times, but if there is a fumble, he will land on it; he just has the knack. I think he will be very good.

- How about the LB from FSU? I think he's a keeper. Nice job for a 6th-round pick. He will help ease the pain of losing Spence.

- I thought safeties were supposed to be the last line of defense, yet Troy and Clark let Cruz run right by them on that long TD. Oh, and Gay was who initially got beat. Big surprise there.

- Can we quit wasting carries on Batch? He isn't a legit NFL back. Stop the madness. Why weren't some others give some carries like McNeal? Why do they keep wasting carries on Batch? Everyone else can see he doesn't cut it except for the coaching staff. What in the F is wrong with them?

- Troy still doesn't look right to me. He made a few whiffs where he just looked bad. $10,000,000 for a guy who makes whiffs? The Steelers are slow to react to when once-star players are no longer. Maybe it's from having a 90-year-old DC.

- IF we keep the OL healthy and bench Gilbert, we are going to be just fine.

- This game gave me little to worry about. I am surprised anyone has falling skies issues.
That 90 year old DC has kept this defense on top.

I'll wait on praising our wideouts until is see production when it counts and points on the board.
