A league plagued by steroid users, unlike the super-clean NFL!

How big a deal are pre-season games in Pittsburgh?

Haven't been to the city in the summer time, but I'd figure that most people would want to soak up the sun while it lasts.

preseason is where you can watch the rookies play, it's boring only if it isn't the steelers

Baseball is an activity in which 9 men stand on a diamond-shaped field; two of the men throw a small white ball back and forth to each other while the other seven men watch them.

And scratch their balls.

That being said - Go Braves!

I watch preseason just to see how the "storyline" players work out. Tebow, Geno Smith, Alex Smith, etc. Besides that and the Steelers, preseason games are pretty bad.

I watch everything NFL, watch JUST post season MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA. And of the other non-NFL sports, I don't typically watch games start to finish, usually surf and just check in on from time to time. With the Steelers, I watch games from start to finish, with the exception of preseason, where I do surf a little with that, but I have it recorded so I don't miss anything. Happy Bucs are doing well after 20 years of being the Browns of MLB. I am happy for the team, fans and city. But it no where near compares to the impact of Steeler football on my psyche.

Oh, I know what it is.

It's that exciting game I use to fall fast asleep every night during the summer.

when your sport is just as much fun to listen to on the radio, you know you're in trouble. that is baseball.

The only reason I am a Steeler fan is because of the Pirates. I was a huge fan of the Pirates back in the late 60s when Clemente and Stargell and crew were there. Growing up in Montana, you just kind of gravitated to a popular team of the times. I was a huge Bucs fan so I gravitated to the Steelers about 1971 and have been a diehard fan ever since.

There was no way to convey a Tekulve pitch and Pena catching on the radio. Tekulve's pitches would rise, curve and drop.
