Default Al Woods

And Ta'amu graded out well, like I said.

Woods' play will keep Casey Hampton retired. One more game like that from Woods and I'll venture to say he'll get some 1st team looks. From what I saw he had an awesome game.

I liked Woods back when he was at LSU with Tyson Jackson, Ricky Jean-Francois and Marlon Favorite on the D-line. He played well and I think earned another roster spot as a reserve DE/NT.

The question is who will end up on the practice squad. Williams or Fangopu, or both.

he looked good against the 3's and 4's - so that's the first step

but gawd knows our 1st string DL needs all the practice they can get

He played well against who was in front of him. I hope he continues, so it will force LeBeau to give him a look against 1st stringers. That kind of dominance can't be hidden down a depth chart for long. LeBeau has a history of hiding players...

Here's the issue - McLendon, Keisel and Hood all looked good. On top of that, Heyward looked good as well.

Pecking order here guys.

Woods isn't a 10-year veteran, so he won't get any playing time - not in tricky Dick's system. How long did Keisel have to wait before he got playing time?

true. DL is looking deep right now and that's a good thing. woods i think will earn his way to the 53 man roster if he keeps it up.

I promise you, one more game like that and the pecking order will be out the window. Looking good and dominating are different, especially for a 3-4 lineman. Six solos and two for negative yards is an anomaly from what Ive seen from this team in the last few years, hence why I'm bringing it up.

He looked like a beast, but I'm willing to see more before anointing him.

And he did all that against David Carr and whoever the third string Oline and QBs were. I hope he makes the team but he will not even come close to busting into the starting lineup. They already have Hood and Heyward going against each other. Keisel is going nowhere. McClendon is solidified in the middle. Woods will only get playing time if Hood or Heyward or both get hurt.
