Default Steelers NT Ta'amu on road to redemption

http://bostonherald.com/sports/patri..._to_redemption

Thought Woods And Big T played well . If guys are ready to play he (Lebeau) will be able rotate fresh bodies in more often. Throw in Fangupo and suddenly we have young depth on the DL.

I can see why the Boston papers might be interested these days in writing uplifting stories about NFL players who engaged in criminal conduct but now have moved past that unpleasantness to drive (hopefully sober) down the road to redemption

Ta'amu was lucky the cops did not shoot him - why he is not in jail is a mystery to me

But we know what matters

"Casey [Hampton] always told me ... you start doing good things and everybody will forget what happened in the past," Ta'amu said

Yup, and Santonio Holmes weed smoking, Harrison's domestic issue, Hamptons competitive eating, Plaxico's marksmanship, etc.

I thought Ta'amu showed glimpses of his power and quickness. He makes the squad this year along with Al Woods, IMO.
