Default I have to take one thing about Gilbert back

Yes, he's still pretty crappy; been having a bad camp, still was our weakest link in that game vs. NYG, BUT.....I assumed he would still be all fat and sloppy. He's improved there. You can see in his arms that he has more muscle and less fat than last year. So, he has at LEAST improved in that area. Now, does it make any difference? Maybe not. But he has at least stepped up his conditioning, to the naked eye.

OH No. We don't want him stepping anywhere. The less stepping he does, the better.

I actually didn't notice that, but if he can just not take any other players out on the way to improving himself, that would be a huge...improvement.

I also saw him committing holding fouls. Isn't Beachum simply better than him? It might be time for the staff to realize that and start working in Beachum with the starting OL.

I can't really comment on that, other than when an O-linemen makes a really good play, or keeps a good defensive player from getting to the QB, I can't really tell how they're playing.

They have to stay healthy. I really believe that this group can put it together and that's when we'll see the offense start to gel.

Agreed. I think we have one of the best young offensive lines in football and there only going to get better. The only thing that can stop them is injuries and hopefully we had enough of those the last two years and will be injury free this season

I would agree that our starting five (at this time I'll generously include Gilbert) has the potential to develop into a solid unit.

But the lack of quality depth concerns me.

Nothing but unknowns and question marks.

If Beachum supplants Gilbert at OT, in a way we become even thinner.
