regardless, the answer to your main point and question seems to be a resounding "NO", yet you seem unwilling to accept that.

you are overthinking things a bit, trying to come up with something revolutionary to talk about that nobody has ever thought of before.

as if everyone agrees you will go into the messageboard hall of fame.

nobody agrees. let it go.

how come after every season the steelers dont win the superbowl, some fans will go through all these mental gymnastics to try and figure out what is wrong with the team and fix it?

"Thats IT! If we start recruiting players from South Dakota and New Hampshire we will be back to our winning ways!!!"

in other news, the Cowboys like players from Texas, and the Dolphins like players from Florida.

then again, all teams do.

The rooneys know what theyre doing. It doesnt matter where youre from. If your ass doesn't pan out or behave they will show you the door quickly.

this is possibly the most stupid premise i have heard all year. never mind the fact that he is like 6'8" 325 lbs the highest rated left tackle on the board (a position they were in desperate need of) from a championship calibur team.

heres a shocker... NFL player and lifetime football fan, was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers (the real "America's Team")

And he also had a history of failed drug tests - something the team had been burned on recently. And then there was the lingering headache from poor character players in general. They took a gamble on this kid. I wonder why?

Not to the same degree. The Rooneys go out of there way to draft/sign players from Pgh. Look how long they kept Charlie Batch when the whole world knew they should get a younger back up. But since Charlie grew up in the area, he was like a favorite son. Why do you think Haley got the gig he did?
