So the Colts and Steelers had similar schedule strength?

You can also argue the Steelers only had two quality wins vs. the Giants and the Ravens, and really the Giants turned out to be a mediocre team.

we beat the champs on their homefield with our backup QB, that's gotta count for something

Last year we had Wallace playing to not get hurt and an offensive line getting hurt, and a running game that did the other teams job for them (make us one-dimensional). It was the first season under Haley as a coordinator. I'd give them some time to work through it.

In Ariens first season as offensive coordinator, we ranked 8th over all out of 32 teams. Just saying. Ben can smile and tell the press things are great, but he has already called the offense dink and dunk, and frustrating.

in Ariens first year we had Holmes and Ward as our top recievers, Ben started 15 of 16 games, and our offensive line was still fairly decent. Plus the offense had Fast Willie, who ran for over 1300 yards.

last year our O-line was playing musical chairs, and largely due to that we couldn't get a running game going, and Ben almost died because of it. Plus our #1 WR was playing to not get hurt (not that I hold it against him). Of course Ben was frustrated, everybody was. The team went 8-8. After a winning season everyone will be all smiles.

Ben called last year's offense dink and dunk. Offensive players got together with Haley this year and re-worked the play book. Let's see how it goes this year, rather then judging it based on his first season here.

I agree the way we ran the dink and dunk is terrible. Ben, on average, was throwing shorter passes then Brady (the king of dink and dunk). We actually completed a pass on all 3 downs last year and did not get a first down, on four occasions! A game plan full of 6-10 yard passes that manage the clock, get first downs, and keep opposing QB's off the field is great, and that's what we thought we were getting last year. Unfortunately too many of those passes were 2-3 yards and we had a patch work O line and WR's who couldn't make a catch or hang on to the ball when they did.

I think this year will be different. We will have a better running game this year with Bell, and if the O line stays healthy then the sky is the limit for him. I'm sure Brown and Sanders will work hard to not repeat the fumble fiasco they had all last year, plus we have a lot of new WR's and got rid of Slick Hands Wallace. I don't think we will be top 5, but a top 10 is possible.
