Default Budweiser Is King of Beers In The ER

"Science" proves Budweiser and malt liquor drinkers are particularly dangerous drunks

Nationwide, roughly a third of all visits to emergency rooms for injuries are alcohol related. Now a new study suggests that certain beverages may be more likely to be involved than others.

The study, carried out over the course of a year at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, found that five beer brands were consumed most often by people who ended up in the emergency room. They were Budweiser, Steel Reserve, Colt 45, Bud Ice and Bud Light....

Three of the brands are malt liquors, which typically contain more alcohol than regular beer. Four malt liquors accounted for nearly half of the beer consumption by emergency room patients, even though they account for less than 3 percent of beer consumption in the general population.

Four malt liquors - Steel Reserve, Colt 45, Bud Ice and King Cobra - accounted for almost 50 percent (46%) of the beer consumed by the sample. Yet these four beverages accounted for only2.4 percent of beer consumption in the general population.

No surprise to me about these findings - I paid a visit to the ER on New Years Eve in my senior year of high school after my first and last encounter with Colt 45

Buying micro brews supports American businesses moreso than Budweiser (InBev-Germany), Miller (SABMiller-South Africa), or Coors (MolsonCoors-Canada)

Elitist

This comment from a devoted customer on the website for Colt 45

Colt 45 is the Cadillac of 40 oz beers!

Colt is not for the aficionados, it is a good malt liquor for the price. Get it in the 40 oz bottle - do not bother with 16 or 24 oz cans its not the same.

This is my favorite beer ad slogan, which sold the product as the one to drink when you were planning to get wasted
